I’ve been wondering, everything serves a purpose…is there anything that doesn’t?
A fan has a purpose to give air, a computer has a purpose for so many things, an ant has a purpose to find food and survive and so forth…anything that doesn’t have a purpose?
Re: Is there anything out there that has NO PURPOSE?
Ignorance has a purpose which is ignoring things that exist or are. Which leads me back to my same question - is there anything out there that doesn’t have a purpose?
Re: Is there anything out there that has NO PURPOSE?
Shrek had a purpose - made it to top 5 movies in the world ever to gross over millions of dollars, purpose was to make a funny movie that would make people laugh, etc…
Re: Is there anything out there that has NO PURPOSE?
The purpose for chance would be an example similar to some sort of ratio. Without chance there wouldn’t be chances which serves the purpose of giving people and things a second try or atleast a shot.
Re: Is there anything out there that has NO PURPOSE?
^^Dude, randomness has an important purpose! Without it you wouldn’t be posting on one of my threads out of all the threads in the world. You can say it was a choice but any one can disagree and say it was randomness which again brings us back to the same question.
Not only that but people like having randomness as an option…some times waking up in the morning and chosing the random dress, random shoes, random pen, random anything…
Re: Is there anything out there that has NO PURPOSE?
Yeah, one can disagree and say it was random, but how? The fact that I'm replying to your question in hopes of answering it should be considered purposeful already. At least some correlation does exist between your thread and me answering it. But suppose if I never knew you or this place and then I randomly posted something of no relevance, then how can it be considered purposeful?
Rejecting randomness as not purposeful is pretty risky.

Abhi tak jaag rahay ho?
Come on MSN then.
Once Sayyedna Musa :as: asked God, “Why did you make the lizard? It’s an ugly looking thing, has no use, no benefit.” God replied, “Musa, the Lizard has already asked the same question about you”.
Re: Is there anything out there that has NO PURPOSE?
sup rockistan.
you know, im not a pacifist - but i often think that war has no purpose. i find little sense in the combat of armed forces, other than loss of soldiers. say what?
Re: Is there anything out there that has NO PURPOSE?
Your belly button is your very first scar. It's scar tissue left over from where the umbilical cord joined you to your mother's placenta when you were in her womb. Just like fingerprints, no two belly buttons are alike. All the nourishment going to the baby and all the wastes coming out passed through the belly button, via the umbilical cord. Once you had been delivered, your umbilical cord was usually clamped or tied, and then cut. The stump withered and fell off after a few days, leaving behind the scar we call the belly button.
