These incidences took momentum during Mush’s tenure when Shortcut Aziz, an imported PM introduced wonderful reforms to increase inflation exponentially in addition to un-employment. Unfortunately this saga continued even after lapse of more than two years of democracy. Where are the people who open their pockets to help deserving cases like these? Where is Imran Khan or Abdul Sattar Edhi, or even richest persons Mansha and Zardari or other filthy rich people? Will these people take their money to their graves like Pharos during 4000 years B.C.
I think government should initiate program of supplementing money for such working people. They need help from rich and the government. Another solution to this problem is government has to start giving incentives for family planning. Start with two children per family is the viable solution. Punish those who cross this limit.
Population of combined Pakistan was less that 100 million in 1965 and now in part Pakistan (West) has crossed more that 150 millions. This has to go down to reasonable limits so that every one has access to available resources and live happily ever after.
**Poverty-stricken man kills wife, sons & himself **
KARACHI, Sept 17: A young man allegedly strangled his wife and three sons, aged between one year and five, and committed suicide inside his Majeed Colony residence on Friday, leaving behind a handwritten note that he did so due to poverty, police said.
The tragic end of the five-member family came as a grim reminder of a Lahore incident, where in June 2010 a poverty-stricken rickshaw driver had committed suicide after poisoning his three little daughters to death.
Though police authorities said they would carry out a forensic examination of the handwriting on the note, investigators relied on the words allegedly written by 30-year-old Asif Nasir, an industrial worker, before executing the job.
“The man was living with his three sons and a wife in the first-floor portion of a house in Sector 2 of Majeed Colony,” said Quaidabad SHO Inspector Irfan Meo. “Tahir, a younger brother of Asif, found his body hanging from the ceiling fan point when he peeped through a ventilation point of the room after getting no response despite repeated knocks at the door.”
Asif’s mother and brother made hue and cry that drew the attention of neighbours, who called the police and broke into the first-floor room, he said.
“Inside the room we found Asif’s body hanging with a piece of rope with the ceiling fan point. The bodies of his three sons — Waqas, 5, Mohsin, 3, and one-year-old Yasin — were lying on the ground along with their mother, Taj Bibi, who was in her mid-twenties,” he added.
He said that the police also found the handwritten note from a side table in the room. “I am responsible for all these five deaths,” Landhi SP Nasir Aftab read the contents of the note, which was written in Urdu. “I am compelled to do so due to poverty and inflation. If possible my mother should pardon me and my wife.”
