Is there any solution to Arab-Israel Conflict?

Apart from the political conflict, there is a basic philosophical and spiritual incompatibility between the two contending nationalisms. Even if all political disputes were to be resolved, the two movements, Zionism and Arab Nationalism, would remain, spiritually and ideologically, worlds apart. It seems to me that the leadership from both movements live in separate ‘universes of discourse’ which are incapable of communication or meaningful dialogue. So how can one expect a successful solution for this problem? What really hurts me that in this fight between two nationalisms, poor palestines are hurting the most…

Neighboring Arab countries should take all the Palestinians in, and let Israelis live in peace. For crying out loud, West Bank and Gaza can fit into a shopping mall in Jeddah.

Madhanee remarks ???

I ponder Israel.

I ponder Palestine.

I ponder what is wrong with boff-of -em.

I think about the promises made to Palestinians.

I think about the Holocaust.

I wonder why after 50+ years the State of Palestine is MIA?

I pray.

I still wonder and ponder how to make peace.

The only thought that occurs to me is that both sides drop arms, sit down, and talk. Really talk. And give a little.

Is it possible?

It's one way of trying to solve the situation but I doubt that the neighbouring countries will agree.

I, unfortunately, don't see ANY workable solution. The proper one is for open and fair elections as what happened in South Africa after Apartheid.

I don't see the two major groups, Palestinian and Jews, becoming one ethnic unit though. This will ensure that the majority of these two groups will dominate the other in the "parlement". The minority group will never accept this domination as it might impact on their culture/religion. They will therefor restart violence and insist on a part of the country where they will be able to rule themselves as they seem fit. Very much as Apartheid.

I think Arafat should drop his condition of right of return of Palestines in Israel proper. Sharon is dismantling settlements in Gaza and shall do the same in West Bank if the palestinians do not ask for right of return. Also the International community should see that all of West Bank goes to Palestine and not what is now been demarcated by the wall.

But honestly, both sides have vested interests in keeping this conflict on. Israel gets 2-3 Billion dollars in aid every year which comes in handy, while Palestinians who have no basic source of government income get around 700 million from EU, Arabs and the US. That is quite a lot for two small nations. So why stop the flow of easy money.

Peace seems impossible anytime soon, at the moment looks like a fight to the end.

The coming of the dajjal is also linked to Israel, so ideologically there will be no resolution, despite any short term agreements.

A civil war of types seems needed among the Palestinians. The PA on one front state that they want peace with Israel and yet they allow organizations like Hamas to exist, which has vowed to destroy Israel and state that peace is not an option.
