this is to all muslims well i just want to know if there is any place for nationlism in islam? can people call themselves punjabis ,bengalis,sindhis ,pathans etc?
as far as i think nationaalism is haram
am i right or wrong?

As far as identifying yourself with a certain ethnic group its perfectly alright. As long as one remembers that they are first a muslim, and then a punjabi/bengali/sindhi/pashtun, etc.
O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes so that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise each other)....(49:13)

that is the highest principle compared to any other religen.
but humans still have tribal nature
