Sometimes we would not know the name of some odd thing and would just call it whatchamacallit , but everything in this world has a name.
For example the stiff end of a shoelace is called aglet or the blunt end of hammer head is called peen.
Is there name of something you do not know and wish to know , post it here and I or some genius guppy will find it out for you.

I never saw broccoli back home. I moved to USA in 1989. My wife cooks it with the same recipe as gobhi , and it looks like gobhi and is green in color so we can call it hari gobhi.

**some fruits and veggies are not found/grown in part of the world where urdu/Hindi is spoken. i never broccoli in india hence never heard of it until i came to canada. it has been adopted in urdu by urdu speaking people in the west.

the other day someone mentioned a sign saying "Urdu Dictionary Board" and laughed about it. if the sign read "anjuman-e-urdu luGhat", how many people on the street wud understand that. dictionay and board is more widely understood among urdu speaking people than luGhat or anjuman.**

mullberry is “shahtoot” its like raspberry but not round or oval…its more like a slug, a catterpillar :slight_smile:
