Is there a lot of hate toward different ethnic groups in Pakistan and Afghanistan?

I apologize for my constant question asking, it is annoying, even for me to ask it is annoying, but I’d like to get an image an of how Asian countries are like, so I was wondering are there hostialities between different ethnic groups? I know there is some between Hazara and Pashtun people, and I know there is some between Pashtun and Punjabi people etc and in general Afghanistan and Pakistan, but I wanted to know how common and wide spread is it? WHY is there much hate, would you hate be amplified in those two communities if for example a Pakistani Punjabi and Afghanistani Pashtun married etc, if so who is looked down upon and why? Sorry for my ignorance, but I’m just trying to get a better picture of Pakistan.

Re: Is there a lot of hate toward different ethnic groups in Pakistan and Afghanistan

In Pakistan and Afghanistan the make up of the countries is skewed. Pakistan is more than 50 % punjabi and Afghanistan is 50 % Pashtun. This creates resentment in smaller communities. This is very natural. Hatred imam not sure. Punjabis and Pakhtuns have had some bearing on each other, same is the case of Sindhis and Baloch.

An interesting perspective and a good one, thanks for the detail.
