I think the best possible defense for a small country is to GIVE UP WMD, as it would be impossible to invade a defenseless country by a big power. (and I mean REALLY and voluntarily disarm, ala South Africa, not lie about it for 10 years).
Your Freudian need to feel empowed by really big missles and powerful bombs is almost laughable, as they are weapons which cannot really be used. Two Iraq wars show that WMDs are NOT a deterrent, and do not prevent hostilities. Any regime which used WMD would never survive....

Yep, lets start with America what ya say...... Yeah small country ..LOL... Hey go and liberate N. Koreans.,. And yes Israel is the smallest terrorist state lets denuke it first.
The interesting thing is that you believe that the US is "scared" of North Korea. The US is scared of horrific deaths in Seoul that could be a result of more than 5000 large caliber artillery tubes that could rain down 100,000 shells an hour on a civilian population.
Interestingly the US pullback moves troops south, well out of artillery range. They are far more survivable in this postion, and ready for counter battery fire. Ultimately to prevent hundreds of thousands of civilain deaths in Seoul, the US would probably have to launch tactical nukes within the first hour. This would be a very short and bloody fight.
I don't know if the world is really ready for that kind of war. But I assure you the US is not "scared", and has plans to deal with whatever contingency arrives. You may now resume waxing your toy missles.....
Suddenly so much concern for four footers when your CUntry killed 4 million during the 50s and 60s. Its very basic you better get civilised coz he has nukes something Saddam never had. Yes we know US is not scared thats why it sending Bills and Carters on begging missions.
Hey go liberate those poor Koreans no one is stopping you… since he can kick your ass you are so concerned about deaths something you never though before.
One reason Pyongyang’s defiant provocations are met with diplomatic overtures while Baghdad’s mix of cooperation and evasion elicits threats of force is the strong suspicion that Kim Jong Il already has nuclear weapons while Saddam Hussein does not.
Abdali:
Maybe I could understand your argument a little better if you could tell us what the little tyrant has actually gotten of benefit to him or the North Korean people from the US by "squeezing our balls."
We haven't ceded S. Korea to him. We don't send Angus beef to N. Korea to feed his people. We don't even sit down with him or his representatives alone as he wants as opposed to requiring the crisis to be dealt with in a multi-lateral environment.
So what exactly have we lost and what exactly has he gained by indicating he has the ability to hit California with a nuke?
You guyz are great at spin, just like your mighty success in Afghanistan where Karzai can only claim his govt in his office block even that with heavy guards. But that is for another time another place until then enjoy the opium....
The point here is not what Little Kim got from you but what he gave you.
Here let me list few of kims gift to you.
1) Dumped NPT (the first in history)
2) Kicked out inspectors
3) say MTCR and Kim will laugh at your face
4) Terrorism in SK
5) Sell missiles
6) Will be selling nukes
7) Posses the technology to hit US with nukes
8) Shot down several US planes killing Americans
9) Captured US navy ship USS Pueblo and kept it as a trophy.
10) And the list goes on and on.
Now compare that with Sudan, your brave mighty GI Joes did not gave a second thought and destroyed a factory by lobing cruise missiles..
hey Sudan has done nothing compared to what Korea has done to your and all you do is beg to talk.
Do you think any of that has really made any difference at all? He is a world wide pariah! His people are starving, electricity is limited to a few hours per day in virtually every city. His economy, never good, is now contracting. He has no hard currency, no credit, no foreign travel, no natural resources, he doesn't even have enough electricity to irrigate his crops.
He is at best a belligerent beggar. That you hold him in such high esteem is somewhat odd, but predictable, as your measure of success is based on bombast volume and testosterone level, not his success as a leader.
Hey, you forgot to throw in that on his first attempt he missed a perfect golf game by only two strokes! I guess if you believe the rest of his crap, you'' believe that too. It's just a shame that the anti-American crowd is no reduced to rooting for a godless cult figure to give the US a poke in the eye.
Abdali:
I think you give far too much credit to the little guy. He didn't even come to power until 1994. The Pueblo incident occured in 1968. And I just don't recall N. Korea shooting down any US planes since 1994 either. I remember one plane being shot down in the 60s.
So, the list doesn't go on and on. Rather it gets shorter and shorter. As to what remains on your list, it's a collection of pretty menial achievements. The "will be selling nukes" prediction is the troubling one. I hope that if and when we deal with Kim you don't change your mind and start saying he has no WMD or that he won't provide WMD to others.
OG,
Why beat around the bush who cares if he is a tyrant or angel.. The point is you guyz are good at lobing missiles at pharmaceutical factories. But on the other hand you seem to understand Kims language real good. You better coz he is not Sudan he is the little Kim of 50s only now he has nukes + Chem/Bio toys so you be extremly civilized.
MV,
And Sudan has done a lot more then Kim...right.... US attacking an enemy armed with nukes is a contradiction in itself.
Why do you think little kim is barking Abdali? His country is a mess, non-action by the U.S. allows little kim to fall further down the rope. It’s a matter of time before little kims barking starts to annoy Russia, China, and France.
The strikes on Sudan and Afghan. Were targeting bin Laden's network. You may believe that the U.S. was targeting the innocent people of Sudan, but you would be wrong. Hijacking this thread to a new topic?
The North Koreans would kick Uncle Sams butt big time....and that would be a bad thing for the region. So diplomacy is the best route. Know when you’re beaten, rice paddies seem to be the Achilles heel.

LOL @ Thap!!! Yanks are good learners once bitten twice shy...
Little Kim has send 37000 + 1 bra to US govt. 37K for the gals stationed in SK and one for GWB. I hear those 37K gals are heading south away form the border coz the heat of Kims weapons is too much for the delicate gals. They are heding south to the beach I’d say Kim also send 37K bikinis…
The US has just “threatened” NK that it will not “tolerate” it having nuclear weapons, and the question is how is it going to achieve this goal? First it tried and FAILED to stop NK acquiring these weapons - those plucky North Koreans developed them right under the American noses, and now the American’s have been bleeting on for months and months about doing something to get them rid of them. All that talk and NO action.
At a press conference yesterday at his Texas ranch, Bush (with visiting Japanese PM J. Koizumi), stated that, “We will not tolerate nuclear weapons in North Korea. …] We will not settle for anything less than the complete, verifiable and irreversible elimination of North Korea’s nuclear weapons program.” :hehe: Bush must be residing on another planet; his words have failed to act as any form of deterrence against North Korea developing and enhancing its nuclear weapons programme. Bush keeps chanting his mantra, and North Korea keeps developing its arsenals - how much more pathetic can Dubya get? Any possibility that the US will be invading North Korea anytime soon…?
