Still popular in Pakistan
or the people have switched over to Blankets etc etc.
I remember in my childhood, before the arrival of winter, all the lihaafs would be taken out of the store room and spread in the sun to dry and get rid of the damp smell. They would be inspected for reuseability - wear and tear.
In most cases the upper cover would be taken off and washed , so the lihaaf would look nice and new for the winter. The really old ones were discarded and order placed on the Lihaaf Wala for new Lihaafs.
If I remember correctly it used to cost anything between Rs 250 to Rs 600, depending on the type of cloth used and the amount of Roi put into it.
Lihaafs ROCK
Blanket and Kambal shambal are not so cuddly duddly
When in Pakistan I use Viki Razaie, which I got in my jahaiz
But I prefer kambal or anything lighter for that matter..
the usual razaie is soooo heavy us main to saans ghut ke banda foat honay ka khadsha hota hai
