Is the lamb sold at Costco really halal?

I looked at their website and it seems that lamb that comes from Australia and has the halal certification stamp on it, is slaughtered by muslim butchers in a halal-only setup where there’s no other non halal meat, packaged, then sent to Costco distribution centers. Only if the orginal packaging is removed and a certification stamp isn’t on it anymore, does the meat cease to be halal as Costco may have repackaged at a general warehouse where other meats are also packaged.

My only question is that does the meat get slaughtered by hand or by machine? I believe the latter makes the meat questionable then…dunno?!

Re: Is the lamb sold at Costco really halal?

Even if it is slaughtered by machines for majority of Muslims it is Halal. Your question would have been , is the meat at Costco machine slaughtered , once you get your answer , you make your decision. Something which you deem is not halal for you does not automatically become haram for majority of Muslims. Does it ?

Re: Is the lamb sold at Costco really halal?

Is the meat becomes halal if a tape is running in a slaughter house...saying halal dua or Allah Akbar while the machines...power or bullets slaughtering the animals?

I don't think its Zabihah Halal. I wouldn't take chances if I only eat Zabihah.
