Is the 21st century...

… the era of the war over water? Or is this warning/prediction a bit too far-fetched?

Re: Is the 21st century…

I thought Inida/Pak already had a war 'cuz of water :konfused:

Re: Is the 21st century...

Its highly plausible but also very much pathetic.

Majority of this planet surfaces is made up of water, perhaps if more resources were diverted to its capture for drinking purposes there would be a lot less problems.

I believe for a species to have gone to the moon and come back but not harnessed this most basic life source is a sign of much failure.

In fact surprisingly enough I just spent 3 Months at Sea and our Schooner had a water filtration unit, now why the hell are millions dying in Africa?

Haha Irony of Ironies one of the greatest human water projects was directed by a man who was resently shot by a crowd who wanted his blood for being a dictator.

Strange World we live in.

Re: Is the 21st century...

It could very well be BBQ. It's kinda sad that water is becoming a commodity. I remember high school geography course we talked about it.

Re: Is the 21st century…

It is true that water is life and without water, nobody can survive and in modern era, water is precious as who owns the water own the economy as the best example is India and Pakistan as India own the water and stop the water of Pakistan and this thing become the major reason for war.

Re: Is the 21st century…

The whole scenario of an era is water, And I am sure the war will begin on water.

Re: Is the 21st century…

My chemistry teacher back in school predicted this more than 20 years ago. He said: “The wars of the future will not be fought over oil. They will be fought over water.”

And he also brought up the point that @Faris_Udeen raised. The human race has to find a way to make sea water drinkable. In large amounts.

Re: Is the 21st century…

Water water everywhere
No water to drink

Re: Is the 21st century…

Widespread technology that makes water that is otherwise undrinkable drinkable will help. Also, treating water like a human right really helps as well.
