I heard that new york is cheaper than lonodon for makeup and designer stuff. If it is than what is the place to buy make up like mac and bobbi brown and other things in new york, as my husband is going new york next week and I’m gonna give him a big list for things I want from there

London is probably the same as NY when you adjust the currencies and purchasing power...Only difference is London is a better city.

I don't know about London, but when I went to New York cosmetics were pretty cheap compared to Holland. Holland is cheaper compared to London, so to come to a conclusion: New York is cheaper than London. :D

thanks for ur reply! can u tell me where did u go in newyork for shopping, I mean the exact name of place or the mall so I could tell my husband to go there and second I mostly need make up than other stuff where can he find cheap mac and bobbi brown cosmetic.

exchange rate wise i think things are cheaper in the states than the uk.

Sephora has a ton of makeup lines and Macys, and Nordstrom carries a lot of higher end brands as well.

i just want to say i don’t like sephora’s brand of eyeshadows and a lot of times i send makeup kits for my cousins in pakistan and i have found ulta kits and coastal scents kits to be pretty cheap and useful. It looks like right not ulta doesn’t have a mega kit on sale but when they do i buy a couple and keep them stashed for future gifts. coastal scents you have to order online but it’s decent pigment wise.

i will say too faced eye primers and uban decay primers and studio gear eye primers are pretty good things to pick up at ulta.

I got my MAC cosmetics from Macy's in King's Plaza. Also I ordered a lot of stuff from Ulta.com and got some stuff from Sephora too. I remember someone saying that the Macy's on Broadway is more expensive compared to the Macy's in other boroughs.

They also have really nice perfumes and at the moment there's a 8 for $35 sale on the Garden Collection.

A lot of beauty products + cosmetics do tend to be noticeably cheaper over in the US.. I buy a lot of Clinique and just as some examples of the prices:

$24 = £14.99 but we pay £21

$22 = £13.74 but we pay £21

Really? I don't think its very likely because makeup products cost the same everywhere.....if u notice, u can never use coupons/passes on makeup at Macys.

Anyways aayma, U can find Mac/Bobbi Brown makeup from Macy's or a Mac store or Bloomingdales, as well as Sephora.

For makeup, generally no, because you have to remember the sales tax.

I've only ever been to Boston, where the sales tax is pretty low I believe. It would have been cheaper for me to buy MAC from duty free. Same for Estee Lauder, Dior, Chanel.

But yeh, as Deeba mentioned, Clinique is a lot cheaper. I bought mascara for almost half the price.

I'm pretty sure makeup is around the same price no matter where you get it, especially for brands like MAC and Bobbi Brown.
