sushi is allowed/halal sheraz its only that u have to inhale once exhale twice and use chop sticks while consuming it.
I don't think I have ever read a rule that a muslim must cook a fish before eating. So why would sushi be haraam? Its just raw fish. Its just a different way of cooking.
Ofcourse if they have put any other funny stuff in it, then its something else... not to mention that it tastes kinda weird, so you have to develop its taste to really enjoy it.

You raise another question.
Is raw beef or mutton allowed?
As long as something is not harmful to you, its ok (if its halal). Islam does not dictate methods of cooking (or not-cooking).
sushi is awful, uncooked meat.
