‘support’ is a very broad word, but generally people do not believe in the war against them. but their support is not so much as to impede the government actions vizaviz afghanistan, hence ttp at war with all of pakistan
what youve got to remember is that this (gs) is a mainly foreign crowd not pakistani.
the answer to the titled question is - no. theres so much wrong with this war, on the af/pak tribal people, that i’d feel ashamed going to them, the talibs, to ask for leniency for my pakistani people. the first thing we must offer them is genuine peace and freedom
part of the motivation for this war, on the part of the US/nato/pak, is that these people appear to have nothing substantial to resist them militarily. hence if this war involved two equally equipped sides what would be the state of todays pakistan? if the talibs chose to fight in same vane, using the same pretexts and weapons systems as these UN approved national armies?
the truth is opposing views are not encouraged in this war, and the terrorist sympathizer stigma is one of the methods being employed to keep mouths shut.
