The biennial event that Gujarat has been hosting to promote the state as the world’s favoured investment destination over the past ten years has become a Modi love fest with captains of the Indian industry and virtual who’s who of big business, singing paeans
i don't live in india nor did i grow up there but looking at his track record and what he's been accused of doing in the past, I hate him an immense amount
He has changed Gujarat. If he were to become PM then expect India to become developed in under 10 years.
what about what happened during gujarat riots? is he completely innocent in relation to that? it's like hitler bringing development after what he did with the holocaust, all the development he brought would mean nothing

not muslim but just watching the tehelka candid camera videos and what was revealed in them, the way those men talked with such happiness in doing what they were ordered to do as well as modi's interview on "devil's advocate", how he did all that drama just to avoid answering such in-your-face type of questions. i don't need to ask muslims living there, i would be scared to live in gujarat if i was muslim and if i went against anything shri modi ji said or did if he was behind those gujarat attacks.

but there is no denying that he has done wonders for Gujrat economically.. the number of international companies investing and participating in Gujrat's rampant economic growth is outstanding..
hey i can’t vote anyways in india, but oh boy oh boy can’t wait until a potential mass killer becomes the PM of India, oh he’ll be one of the greats in history…eagerly waiting to have him as a representation of all india and indians i hope that never happens, is there really a shortage of good,promising leaders in india??

love him or hate him.. fact is that modi has propelled gujrat economically a lot... i was in india on vacation a few years ago and went to this town in rajasthan close to the gujrat border and the public opinion there was incredibly pro-modi.. quite different from even new delhi....
every year.. or every other year modi organizes a gujrat economic expo inviting industrialists and business tycoons from all over the world... the response is massive and every year it ends in various giant corporations doubling tripling their investment in gujrat.. they get great cooperation from the modi govt to set things up and boost the economy... something they complain about various other indian states.. just a small example of how modi has been boosting gujrat economically.. and why the locals support him every time...
Sharabee - Thanks for the clarification. I hope India finds another person with proven record of fairness to all who can also incorporate some of the business acumen Modi has shown. For the region to move forward peacefully, we need to "do unto others as we would have them do unto us". (Sorry for the cliche)

ok that is great for india's future, if only he wasn't a key player in the guj riots, he would be my leader of choice looking at all the other stuff he's done. Watch those Tehelka videos, even i was disgusted by them, i couldn't even finish watching it all. he doesn't seem the naive type to be framed for planning the killings, all the evidence connecting him to the massive killing have been so neatly destroyed.
what about Rahul Gandhi, sachin pilot, abdul kalam azad, chidambaram(sp??)....there are so many others.
i hope that never happens, is there really a shortage of good,promising leaders in india??
