No matter who the person is and which religion he belongs to, if he is related to us we would definitely inform him if any new scheme related to anything has started for the benefit of people. If in a particular shop they are selling anything at 50-70% discount, we would try to let people know whoever is related to us, because we want to benefit them. In schools we used to share notes of all subjects with our friends irrespective of their religions / sects because we wanted benefit of each others. We let people benefit from our experience and guide our youngsters in our field (of engineering / medicine…etc) so that they may not repeat the same mistakes we made in the past due to ignorance. We want the next generation to be more smart and intelligent then us in every way.
BUT in case of religion, at times some people become more sensitive, more reserve, and consider it an offense when anyone has learned good knowledge and wants to share with them so that it may prove beneficial for them in this life and hereafter.
We know all kinds of sharing are not “selfish preaching” but in most cases the intentions are sincere sharing of good knowledge.
Then why do some people think sharing means “My religion / belief system / character, manners…etc. are better then yours” ?
**
Why should I get offended if my friend is criticizing me only to sincerely correct me, even if at times his way might not be the best in terms of moral values. At least he is taking the pain and time to sincerely share with me his views without showing himself dominant over me** in any way ?
Your question pertains to inter religion or intra religion knowledge sharing ? The other name of inter religion knowledge sharing is preaching. If someone knows that I am a devout Muslim and keep on preaching me I would be offended. In case of intra religion knowledge sharing if superficial knowledge is being shared I will be offended. In both the cases I might not show it on my face and be polite but I would avoid both type of people to the best of my abilities.
no harm in understanding religion by inquiring and meditating on its teachings.
inner religion - could also be the best and most pure level of reverence one develops and maintains as honestly as humanly possible, with one's God, in case of Muslims and Muslimahs- Allah swt - God Almighty.
sharing and caring is indeed a religious thing to do.
it may be in this world - as a fulfillment of rights of own kind.

Both

I understand brother, but you see no matter how better we get, we need reminders (don't we ?) to keep ourselves on the right track. I have come to know that repetition of listening and sharing good knowledge has a magical effect on a person's character and personality (even if he knows it already). At times even less knowledgeable and practicing people might teach a good lesson to the highly knowledgeable people.

I understand and agree. I might be wrong, but I humbly feel that sharing of good common knowledge and disagreeing with wisdom with logical reasoning and without offending the person might be useful.

The first case pertains to, if someone from other religion keeps on giving me dose of his religion ignoring the fact that I am a devout Muslim and I have told them that no mater what they say , I have made a commitment to my Allah and I am not going to change my religion. It is a two way street, I will leave someone of other religion alone if they are not interested to hear me out.
