Should be kept apart in my opinion.
Not everyone has the same religion and not everyone is as religious as the other person and so how can use that as a barometer to hand out justice

what if they are given a choice? to choose between a sacular justice system and a set of instructions ACCORDING to their faith?
but you are right, this will casue huge problems for multi-cultural societies.
