Re: Is RasoolAllah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alehi wa Sallam A Man like Us?
Bor Ibn Sadique Salam
The Jism of The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam was more fantastic then other Humans. Yes Nabi Pak had to Strive, and Strove Hard with sacrifice and suffering but to Muslims The Messenger of Allah is better
This is undoubtedly the case so the interpretation of the two verses must be done in Light of The Prophetic virtues, so the ‘like you’ is not to be applied to everything jismi but to a limited set of attributes. The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam is Khairul Bashar, not just a Bashar
This difference of opinion on the interpretation of these verses has nothing to do with the Nur belief. It is purely a debate to impart correct understanding and to stop people claiming The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam ‘is just a Bashar like us’ or as you said ‘just like us’. This is a Bidah and a transgression, and disbelief of a lot of the virtues we Muslims and indeed Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala have narrated regarding The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam
The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam is Khairul Bashar
Even the word Bashr does not include all Human attributes but Psyah posted this:
Khairul Basher is a reality, its not metaphoric, it means utterly The Best Human, unlike us or The Companions or Any one else.
‘well my personal belief is’ means that I am not pushing it onto anyone else, as is evident in the wording. I am Personally liable to that implications of that opinion, like you are liable to yours
The opinion I have expressed regarding interpretation of the Ayat is seconded by other translators, they have translated Bashar as Mortal - to say I am Mortal Like you* In essence it is the same, they have denied what you claim that The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam was ‘just like them’
For example the Fragrance coming from the Blessed Sweat and Body was Real and Better then other Humans for me. That’s Khairul Bashar. Now if you ask me if I generally believe Humans have fragrance emanating from the Body - I will say no. If you say it was a miracle of so and so, I will say it is not as Good as What Came from The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam. Again Khairul Bashar
Mortality is itself requiring further explanation because Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala does not combine two deaths on The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam. This is the understanding of Ahlus Sunnah
I said The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam is Khairul Bashar, and His Attributes were Best of Humans, and includes things which I do not apply to other Humans, Even Human Believers
His Blessed Skin was Better then anyone elses
What I said can clearly be seen: Here is my interpretations of the two Ayats
*Qul [say to the disbelievers, munafiqs] I am a Man of Flesh like you [a Creation, and can be seen, not a God, nor an Angel]. Has been revealed to me that your God is One God
Proclaim/Say to the Disbelievers! That I am Physically a human (Bashar, skin, visible) like you (like you in of what is apparent, like visible and have skin (not same Quality of skin mind you))
*
Skin but not same Quality of Skin
So what I am saying is that your interpretation of the verses is incorrect, ‘like you’ and your own exaggeration ‘just like you’ is only applicable to a limit and that limit is breached very quickly. The Disbelievers are deaf dumb and blind, and thats who the verse is informing. The ‘like you’ is limited to very basic things of Creation
You are reciting (with impressive speed) Blessed Ayats of the Quran with an understanding that is closer to the Khawarij.
You will Find Allah Subhanhu wa Ta’ala Had Strengthened Him throughout His Jism and Attributes. So you go compare with what you are saying here as to your interpretation of the Ayats that we are discussing. You claimed ‘like you’ and Allah Subhanhu wa Ta’ala made you write ‘just Like you’ as evidence you are not taking the correct interpretation
And that you are really backing people who will come say a lot more then this because we know among the Munafiqs is a breed which uses those Ayats to say The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Salllam is just like them
Yes we can, not the truth but of ourselves and our nation, we can lower and exaggerate the Status. Both would be Falsehood. Lower the status would be things like claiming The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam was ‘just like us’ and exaggeration would be to deny the Bashariat of The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam
My personal position is, if its not already clear is The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam is The Best of Creation, Nur of Allah, Khairul Bashar, His Attributes are better then the Attributes of Bashars (not a man like us). His Blessed Life and Death is life and death but unlike our life and our death.
The name Dhul Nurain implies the likeness of Ahlus Sunnah of Attributing the Noor to the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Alihi wa Sallam, not just Him but to His Daughters who are a part of Him Peace Blessings be upon Him and His Family
We know from our tradition what the word Nur and Siraj is. We know where it is concentrated and from where it is distributed.
