I don't really compare myself with a Gold Standard, because I also don't go around making claims about Islam as if I am the most religious person ever. I am imperfect and I admitt it repeatedly everywhere. I am not walking around pretending to be some great muslimah who spews incorrect information and misguidance on the internet because of strongly traditional cultural biases.
I may not be a perfect muslim, like yourself, but I do see Islam with glasses untainted. You see it through a traditional Pakistani-esque lens, which fogs up the entire picture. Your cultural tradition has taught you that its okay for you to degrade other people when they do not agree with you WHILE portraying yourself as a wonderwoman of Islam. I on the other hand don't play that game. I don't degrade people who disagree with me AND who haven't been rude to me. You just jumped off on this kid and they weren't even making any rude statement to you. They simply made a point. I wouldn't even bother, Hareem, to criticize you, if they had actually insulted you or hurt you. But they didn't. They just spoke their mind, and for that you gave them a nasty response. So you have to pick. Are you a true muslim mohtarma or are you a poser? I don'tt need to hear your response to that, but I think YOU need to hear that answer for YOURSELF.
