On a different note.
Most of the people don’t think Punjabi as a language of “educated” people. I have seen things in real that people are “labeling” some “Masters in Punjabi” guy 'caz he was not speaking in english in an elite gathering. On his back, peopel were saying .. “he is an illiterate, he does not even know english”
Even it happened to me few days ago in the very forum .. That i talked to someone in punjabi and it was considered harsh. Though those were the literal translation of english sentences Dude, whats up , where have you been ?
If we want to keep us language alive then we gota own it ourselves first. As long as we will not own it we can’t claim that its gona die 'caz of the goverment or some other issues in our country. Whatever the reason may be, We have to own our own language.
As long as you can speak in english, every single pakistan will consdier you an educated person since they beleive “english” is the language which “educated” people kow.
That is sad yeah.
Where i live, there are so many women who really look down on punjabi.
