Just makes me wonder. I was talking to this pakistani girl in her 20’s a while back and she asking how come I wasn’t marreid yet.
So I mentioned how it’s just so hard to find someone you click with anyways.. but then there’s the extremes of morality and lack of out there too. I was just thinking about attitudes about religion, family etc
And her response was So what are you expecting to find some virgin desi girl!? ha!
Now I didn’t even mention anything about that!? She just mocked me
As if I was being some backward minded ogre expecting to find a muslim girl with the same sense of values and morality as me!?
I used to wonder that too sometimes, but no, I dont think it is the norm. Cause I know plenty of people who dont believe in it.
But I also experienced this just a few years ago when I was living on my own...I met some guys and somewhow or the other, all of them asked me if I had a boyfriend or if I had dated etc, and I told them no, and they were all shocked. And I was shocked that they were shocked. I was quite naive to think that everyone thought like I did. smile
There are all sorts of opinions out there, and all sorts of attitudes and beliefs. You only need to find the one girl who thinks like you anyway, if thats what you'd like. The world doesnt have to think the same, but its best not to generalize.
i often find guys and girls being shocked to hear me say that ive never dated or kissed a male… lekin its nice to know that ur ‘different’.. does that make sense?
i dont think its the norm for muslims to have had or to be thinking about pre-marital sex.. people do talk about it, but its just talk… i dont think many go out and actually do it..
it also depends on where ur living.. i think that makes a big difference in ur upbringing and thinknig..
