I like Pepsi, was told Coca-Cola was haraam in a different way too so stopped drinking that, plus it was too addictive.

If you are convinced that this is true, then don't drink it. Personally I think these rumors are spread by people who have nothing better to do; or perhaps they want to sell more Coca Cola.

What does pepsi or coca cola have to gain? Is it worth their effort to add pork scratchings to the drinks just so that muslims end up drinking something haraam unknowingly? How does it benefit them?

WJ jewellers logo reads Allah exactly. It's an american jewelry store. No harm in that! I have to check the hush puppies logo though.
