Re: Is Pakistan slipping into civil war?
what political parties hanibal g. you mocked em all in your post. the change comes from with in the people. dictatorship will be the death of pakistan.
Yes we dont have them, thats y we are in this situation, all the political parties we see today is the brought up by the military regimes...
but these parties still have enough fools who believe in them.. so these parties should ask their followers to cool down and think for the Pakistan.
Re: Is Pakistan slipping into civil war?
There isn't enough support for anything violent anywhere in Pakistan other than Waziarastan, although there is sentiment against taking any strong actions against the 'Muslim brothers up North." This is perhaps the most tragic part of the situation, a population segment comprising a few hundreds of thousands (Wazirastan fanatics + FATA + NWFP fanatics) is holding a country of 160 million hostage to their violence. Otherwise, no matter how much people dislike Musharraf they dont have a taste for bombings. You dont see suicide bombers from Sheikhupurrah or Sakkhar.
Because you didnt need the people from Sheikhupora and Sakkar when you needed somebody to fight your holy wars in Afghanistan and Kashmir. We prepared and trained these people for own interest and motivate them to fight the holy war but now our interest is changed but how can we convince these people that the holy war has become terrorism with the change of interest.
Bechare gullible people dont understand the game of interest.
Re: Is Pakistan slipping into civil war?
Good news billions of $$$$$$$$$$$ coming from USA for carnage in tribal areas..
Re: Is Pakistan slipping into civil war?
In my view there seems only one solution to the present crisis.
MMA should be given the rein to rule the country with Musharraf as president in uniform at least for another three to four years with Maulana Fazlur Rehman as the PM of Pakistan.
The presence of Musharraf will appease the west about the fanatic MMA govt.
Secondly, all the Deobandi madaris are under the control of Maulana Fazlur Rehman and he will never used them against his own govt.
Re: Is Pakistan slipping into civil war?
Don't be so sure, the jihadis are under no one's control. Even Maulana diesel had to have his security beefed up due to threats.

u r joking right?
Re: Is Pakistan slipping into civil war?
i can just envision fazl ur rehman and musharaf! that is well not a feasible solution in the least.
Getting back to you hanibal
i have a question parties that were brought about by military regimes are not acceptable to you but the military itself in govt is?
secondly why would these parties that have people behind them go half the way?i mean wouldnt they do exactly the same as mush and claim they can deliver Pakistan from the usual perils?
I dont rate these parties much higher than mush but i think mush has done his time, needs to go and army needs to go back to barracks. enough time has been wasted.
Re: Is Pakistan slipping into civil war?
No - Pakistan is not not slipping into civil war.
These bomings are largely concentrated in certain parts of FATA/NWFP, and now Islamabad. Thankfully to date Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan provinces have been spared from large scale suicide bombings, as have the Northern Areas and Azad Kashmir.
The Pashtun people as with other Pakistani's are turning against these extremists and terrorists, so all this will end soon.
Re: Is Pakistan slipping into civil war?
Dear Sister
here are answers to ur questions
Yes they are not, it is like i dont beleive in puppets
i want my self to be represented by the a true representative and not by a fake one, and i don’t find one true representative then let it be the TRUE MASTER of the Fake one.
there are plenty reasons for disowing the fake leaders. but i guess above comment will do for now.
Dear Sister, not every one can be a leader… these puppets lack courage to stand in front of Military Generals or US for that matter, thats why, even if they want to deliver something, they are not in position to do so. coz it may have a conflict of interest with their masters. thats why they go half way!!! thats also shows their abilities and their powers.
Last not least, the personal greed leads them to become puppets..
Trust me sister, no one on these forums hates mush more than me, and thats why i am angry on these mullahs coz they have created where MUSH from nothing has become the hero in the eyes of west.

What r the basis of that optimism..and the assertion that Pashtun people r turning against these extremists (debatable itself)...what good is that in an un-democratic country where numbers don't matter? Is Musharraf's own legacy coming back to bite him in the ass? Holding the majority hostage at gunpoint? Kya samjhay? ;)
Re: Is Pakistan slipping into civil war?
NO!
Even when India got rid of the Miltants from the golden temple, there was a steerp rise in terrorism. But with the state being firm against this menace, it was crushed.
The Pak Police should be suitably armed and empowered to get rid this revolt, once and for all.
Re: Is Pakistan slipping into civil war?
If you want to stop the civil war, remove Musharraf.
Hes the cause behind it.
Its Musharraf vs The Rest.
From what I can tell, its all of Pakistan versus Islamic terrorists... Musharaf or no Musharaf, these terrorists will still be there...
Re: Is Pakistan slipping into civil war?
Where is the outrage against murdering 1000+ females and kids. Where is the outrage against bombing madrassas and Masjids in NWFP. If their homes are being bombed there, you think they will stay quiet. Jaisa karo gay, waisa bharo gay. Before Musharraf came, everything was fine.
Well the understanding is that most of the time they stated aim is killing terrorists... Colateral damage is unfortunate, but what the heck can anyone do. The terrorists hide among women and children like the cowards that they are. Its a war situation, the best we can hope for is killing as many terrorists as we can with the minimum amount of damage and then getting the hell out of there.

This is becoming a joke. These fanatics make you hate Islam, do the extent that you just want to go and do over a mosque or two.

"ok kill them all" that is your slogan. Remember, if you threat them with killings and cluster bombs then they won't welcome you with phoolon kay haar.
These islamist mullahs are there from the begining or they just suddenly appeared from somewhere in Musharraf's Raj?
What will be left, a Punjabistan? A union of Punjab and Sindh?
God knows.
