Re: Is Oshawa a good place for G???
look for a test center that is not close to a major highway
That is if you are a bit nervous about merging and getting off the ramp ![]()
In that regard, Kitchener is good, because of Hwy 7, which has pretty low traffic volume except the peak hours, they take you on the highway at a very easy intersection with literally no traffic from late morning to mid afternoon. and you exit after just 500 meters ![]()
make sure you book your test between 10 AM and 2 PM
My wife took her G in Kitchener, and she is nervous with a big N ![]()
but the test was a piece of cake for her :halo:
She did get 2 minors though;
- Start your turn signal as soon as you get on the ramp, dont wait till you are about to merge
- Hit the highway at the posted limit, even if there is no traffic within 10 miles, so if the posted limit is 90, you have to hit the highway at 90, lower than that will get you a minor, 10 or more below might disqualify you.
Thats what the drive test instructor told her ![]()
