Is only alcohol haraam or gettin intoxicated also??

that’s what i’ve been telling my friends all along but they argue that since only alcohol has been mentioned in the holy quran, only alcohol is haram.. i told them that anything that makes u drunk or high i.e. intoxicated, is haram regardless of if u drink it or smoke it..
