========================================

Nawaz Sharif has emerged as the most popular political leader in Pakistan today. A striking 86 per cent of Pakistanis have a favourable opinion of Nawaz Sharif who has also seen a steady rise in his popularity, from 57 per cent favourable in the August 2007 poll, to 74 per cent in January 2008 and 86 percent today.

The survey by two Washington based think tanks , New America Foundation and Terror free tomorrow(TFT)find a surge in public support for former primeminister Nawaz Sharif and his party PMLN.

“In the first poll before the elections, our survey shows that Nawaz Sharif is now the most popular political leader in Pakistan. Mr. Sharif’s party, the PML-N, would emerge as the clear winner in any national contest, far eclipsing the current largest party in Parliament, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).”

May be they sampled people from Lahore and Raiwind?

edit: ok, the comments from that site are hilarious. :hehe:

“Dear NS,
mera tun mun dhan tujh pe kurban. You are my only hope for me to guard Pakistan. Please look after yourself.”

Nawaz corruption exposed:

Are you sure you dont have mqm.com and nawazsharif.com mixed up?

Read it yourself on the site. Nawaz is Sher of Punjab for a reason. :hehe:

Impresssive! I think I’ll wait till his poll numbers from that excellent source of a website go to 187 percent in favor, next month, so that I can be even MORE impressed and then jump on the bandwagon. How do you say its possible? Well its because mr sharif has the power to win 187 percent (though how improbable it maybe) of every heart in pakistan, DEAD OR ALIVE!

Re: Is Nawaz Sharif The Most Popular Leader in Pakistan??

The poll numbers for nawaz sharif are probably reaching 1100 percent by now, on that website. These numbers are galloping fast and even overshadowing the rate of Zimbabwe's inflation.

The survey is done by American companies who are not under the influence of MQM’s terror.

Now stop crying that these results are not suiting MQM or it’s blind followers.

Re: Is Nawaz Sharif The Most Popular Leader in Pakistan??

In all honestly and predictable foresight, the way things are moving. Sharif is set to become the next PM (whenever the next elections are held). Because PPP is reluctant to deliver on the promises so far. And PML(N) seems to be riding the high-tide of popular slogans and campaigns such as Judiciary reinstatement, Musharraf impeachment and trial, etc..etc...

Re: Is Nawaz Sharif The Most Popular Leader in Pakistan??

^^
U r right, PML (N) has seen the tide and is promising ( i don't know if they will deliver or not) to deliver what people of Pakistan is demanding from PPP and has assumed that dictator ( allied with PML (Q) and MQM ) will deliver, an equal social justice system.

PML(N) is promising a huge thing, i don't see hurdles in implementing the same, Justice for all on merit is right of the citizens of Pakistan. The ver people (the ruling class) who have rules Pakistan for 60 years ( including Nawaz Sharif) has never ever promised this thing, MQM did it but, failed to deliver, and now accepting dictations from other to just to stay in Power, i guess PML(N) will have same future if they didn't deliver.

So far they have done things which are being admired by the people, i.e. giving up the ministries and shown the intention to vacate all the NA seats ( Ch. Nisar said that on Geo News).

Lets wait and see...
