Actually, if you read my post, you will know that Pakistan economy is still strong and only needs confidence. All what is happening is not due to economical reasons but due to loss of confidence on present government, fear of their corruption, their past records, and perception of their lack of ability to run the country's economy effectively.
May be you should make thread correctly instead of making it flashy like evening newspapers, I don't have time to read your posts completely I only skim-thru your posts.
The decline you saw was mainly due to the on-going political conflict of "restore judiciary", "Mush vs new govt" and not much else.
I hope that thing do really gets better, as personally it is costing me a lot as I have already lost a fortune in Pakistan after election. For me, every point KSE gain or lose, it makes me feel as I gain or lose with it (quite reasonable amount).
This is the exact reason of your bitterness againt "politicians".
Re: Is Nawaz and Zardari already started looting the country?
i was in pakistan recently and everyone can be bought, bottom line.
back hand payments and corrupt people bought the economy down.
just like in zimbabwe, corrupt officials/leaders made the people suffer.
why pay tax, when you can pay tax man, to collect less tax.
pay the media to say what you want them to say, print what you want them to print and broadcast what you want them to broadcast.
i was in a shop sometime ago and the shop keeper was saying that the late bhutto has more money than the queen and more land than the whole of wales.
now with that money, who cant be bought and who cant be abducted. judges can be abducted and police officials can be bought.
poor people need money to survive, they would put there lives at risk, who do you think carries out the daka's on places.
has anyone seen american gangster ? in there do you see how many corrput police officials there were in the 70's, how do you take them down now, when its so wide spread.
anyway hope the country gets better, i quite enjoyed my time there.
Re: Is Nawaz and Zardari already started looting the country?
it took alot of hard work for the US to survive the corruption, but even at that stage, US was ultimately about thirty times better off then india or pakistan...or so it seems based on stories like yours and other friends that come back from pakistan and india.
