Is knowledge always powerful?

I feel that sometimes too much knowledge is scary. Sometimes its better to be ignorant.
Knowledge is power but not always. Sometimes it makes us feel confused and we take longer to make our small decisions.
what do you guys think??

Re: Is knowledge always powerful?

The difference is objectivity. Propaganda is also knowledge but it only creates hysteria rather than clam. We just have to learn to differentiate between facts and misinformation.

Re: Is knowledge always powerful?

It is scary if one starts thinking that having too much knowledge makes that person always right… because guess who becomes your best friend in that case?? yep! that’s right.. the one who thought the same for the first time in the Universe… Iblees-e-La’een ya’ani AzaazeeL, the one we call Shaitan now :faizy:

Re: Is knowledge always powerful?

I say ignorance is bliss. They more knowledge you have the more you start asking whats, whys, hows and whos. And there is no end to it.

Re: Is knowledge always powerful?

Ok. so far, it seems that we do agree.
I've found that sometimes extra information makes us more picky. We tend to consider the things which aren't that imp. So overall, it takes more time and energy to make a decision. And its with a lot of things in life. Personal as well as professional - more with personal though.

Man with Plan is making a point here too. Sometimes we take propaganda as information which totally leads us to the wrong direction.

Re: Is knowledge always powerful?

Its better of not knowing things which can become a baggage or a burden.

Re: Is knowledge always powerful?

it all depends on what ur knowledgable in, and ultimately how u use it.

Re: Is knowledge always powerful?

At the end of the day it's personal choice, you can always say hey I don't require any more knowledge and you become complacent. In my case it's a bit tough situation I cannot rest until I know the full details of any subject I am studying.

Re: Is knowledge always powerful?

Same here.
The problem is, how to know that we have gotten the required information and we don't need to look for more. Its almost impossible.

Re: Is knowledge always powerful?

^Bro for me it's never stop until you reach till the end and get the answer beyond doubt. I hate gray areas.

Re: Is knowledge always powerful?

^There is no answer beyond doubt.

Re: Is knowledge always powerful?

I have learnt over time to curtail my quest of knowledge to my requirements. I have less headache now.

Re: Is knowledge always powerful?

^Atleast I will die happy that I tried my best and did not give up a quest in the middle.
