In fact the whole Shia religion emphasizes on the Quraish being the supermen just because Mohammad pbuh was a Quresh. Since they couldn't find a male heir of Mohammad pbuh, all their efforts have been focused on making Mohammad's pbuh nephew as the superman. Then every decedent of Ali is considered to be Ayatullah or something close to it.
Even our darood's interpretation is different between Sunnis and Shias. For one Al-e-Mohammad means every believer, while the other goes with literal meaning "Al-e-Mohammad" only means Mohammad pbuh blood, tribe, or race.
