with all the multiple conflicting dates that halal commitees propose, you have to look out for the crecent yourself.
at least you would know that you saw one.

tonight is the night of the 27th roza. since it's a lunar calendar a new day begins at night, not day. complicated yeah. so tomorrow morning is the 27th roza. today is potentially lailtul qadar, that's why everyone is rushing to the masajids to pray.

eid on the other hand can be either on friday or saturday, depending on the moon sighting.
