So far from ground reality.

People from ANP and PPP who are involved in all this today, were involved in Karachi killings along side MQM from 80s in one form or another. To name some

Panjabi Pakhtoon Itehad
Peoples Student Federation
Panjabi Pakhtoon Student Federation
Pakhtoon Loya Jarga

and many more 'on-paper parties'.

Although I agree with you that MQM has the largest numbers of terrorists in Karachi, but again, that's because they have more feet on the ground than any other ethnicity.

why cant you compare karachi's situation with Bangladesh ? indeed you can and the reasons are :

1) Karachi police is heavily politicized - Plus due to the pressure asserted on them by Politicians - they have no free will /power to do operations in affected areas .. Only this year some 200 got killed and 800 or more got injured . So you know the morale

2) Same goes with Rangers - since the safraz shah episode and the result achieved - they are more or less like Action men dolls dressed in drag

3) On a single call of MQM - A ( consider Altaf as shiekh mujeeb here ) the city goes on halt ... On an average you lose 1000 Billion Pk Rs /per day , on such given days ..

4) Business owners/ high profile stakeholders /religious scholar are demanding Pakistan Army to take control of the situation - and if not then they are willing to close their businesses till further notice ring a bell - same as what happened in east Pakistan , pre 1971]

5) Merchant/Business owners Association has its own army of 6,500 people to safe guard them -- Guess what if civil war starts :)

6) In areas , where people can afford , almost more then 80% streets are guarded with Barriers and private guards are stationed outside for security purpose .

7) In Areas , where people cant afford the luxury of private guards - they have political parties activists covering the areas / working at watchmen on 24/7 basis .

8) People keep stock of extra groceries and petrol at homes - for emergency situation/strike calls .

Is that enough or you want me to write more points ... Plus I didn't go in history to recall the grievances this city people have had against your federal institution

The nation has heard all these remarks pre -1971 too - and yet you had a guy , who finally said ' Idhar Hum _ Udhar tum '..

Genuine needs of a nation shouldn't be mistaken as dreams :) or you can as often such dreams come true

Whenever any of these organisations were on 'top', they used to bully, harrass, and beat their opponents.

They never killed and tortured en masse the way the MQM does.

They were never full criminal organisations from top to bottom the way the MQM is.

The security forces have captured thousands of Innocent Pakistanis labeling them as Talibans and yet they are rotting in dark unknown cells in hope to get justice one day … Please make some laws to deal with them first … Either prosecute them in courts or leave them free..

Then think to invade karachi with an army including the likes of your hero Gen.baber - an army tired and exhausted by fighting a useless battle in North …

You start a front here and you will see baloch separatists hiting Army from the back … The game is aint that easy as you naively think …

Even MQM-wallah's like you know there is a big,big difference between beating people(as JI do, for example), and killing/torturing 1000's, as MQM have done from the beginning.

This is recognised in law, and by common sense.

You can try to make people believe the MQM is less evil than they are, but no one is fooled.

People like you are going to get lot of your kith and kin killed. Naseerullah Babar shoved MQM with few thousand police officers. You could not even finish haqiqi despite utilising the resources of whole government, when not a single one was even bothered about killing of haqiqi people and you think you can take on army?

ایم کیو ایم کی حکومت سے علیحدگی کے بعد حکمران جماعت نے سنہ دو ہزار ایک کے بلدیاتی نظام کو منسوخ اور کمشنری نظام کو بحال کردیا تھا اور اس کی وجہ یہ بتائی تھی کہ یہ عوام کا دیرینہ مطالبہ تھا مگر بعد میں گورنر ڈاکٹر عشرت العباد کی واپسی اور مذاکرات بحال ہونے کے بعد یہ فیصلہ واپس لے لیا گیا جس سے سندھ میں شدید رد عمل دیکھنے میں آیا اور دو پرزور ہڑتالیں بھی کی گئیں۔

بعض دیگر اخبارات لکھتے ہیں کہ تمام معاملات طے پائے گئے تھے مگر ایم کیو ایم کا مطالبہ تھا کہ پچھلے دنوں ان کے گرفتار کیے گئے چار اہم کارکنوں کو رہا کیا جائے، جن کے بارے میں حکومتی اہلکاروں کا کہنا تھا کہ ان کی جوائنٹ انٹروگیشن ہوچکی ہے اب معاملات عدالت میں ہیں جس کی وجہ سے ایسا کرنا ممکن نہیں۔
یہ گرفتاریاں چکرا گوٹھ سے عمل میں لائی گئی تھیں، جہاں پولیس کی بس پر حملے میں چار اہلکار ہلاک اور بیس سے زائد زخمی ہوئے تھے۔
بعد میں ایک نیوز چینل نے چکرا گوٹھ میں فائرنگ کی ویڈیو بھی ٹیلی کاسٹ کی تھی جس میں سٹی وارڈن پولیس کی کیپ اور ڈریس پہنے ہوئے نوجوانوں کو فائرنگ کرتے ہوئے دکھایا گیا تھا، یہ ویڈو دو تین بار چلنے کے بعد اس نیوز چینل کی کراچی میں نشریات ایک روز کے لیے معطل ہوگئی تھی۔

There should be a ban on this MQM centered or any ethnic related discussion in every thread related to Pakistan. Period.
