Is it wrong

to be attached to your gadgets and be very touchy about them?

My husband and children know not to “play” with my laptop and phone unless there is an urgent need when there really shouldn’t be any given that we have enough technical gadgetry in our home to go around our neighborhood. Each time they do, something gets changed, like the preferred positional setting of an app, or the brightness, or there are fingerprints on the touch pad, or a ringtone gets changed or my phone goes into Safe Mode or my contacts are gone. :frowning: I know everything can be retrieved and fixed but my question is WHY?

So today my family announces that I’m very weird and obsessed. :frowning:

DO you think I have a problem?
:naak:

OK OK, I know I have a problem. And that’s fine. Are you like that about your stuff?

Is it wrong

I hate scratches on my gadgets!!!! I dont buy jewelry so my gadgets are my valuables and I simply cannot have anyone messing with them. My kids can play but I cant let them walk away with it because the tiny kanjoos aurat inside me fears they might hurt my non-human babies!!!

:rotfl: omg Devi… I couldnt have said it better my self!! I dont have kids but my siblings know not to touch my gadgets, because I’ll throw a fit if something wrong with ANYTHING!!
I remember a few years ago during Eid, I had mehndi on my hands and we were listening to music on my laptop. I wanted to skip a track and I wouldnt let my sister touch my laptop. (She broke my previous one :sid: )… so I hit ‘next’ with my elbow… :smack:
Scratches, dents, any cosmetic imperfections annoy me soooo bad! :grumpy:

Re: Is it wrong

I don't like people touching my phone or laptop. EVER.

Re: Is it wrong

I am very attached to my laptop. Like really really attached.

If I leave it home and go out which is very rare, I come home, pick it up and say, “hi baby”.

And the sad part is I’m not lying or exaggerating. :frowning:

Re: Is it wrong

^^ I relate. Usually I kiss my laptop when I see it after a few hours. True Story. OK may be not always. But I know it's as happy to see me as I am cuz I take care of it.

Re: Is it wrong

I’ve kissed it a few times. But I can explain why. :sid:

Re: Is it wrong

NO need to explain. I’m just very relieved that so many share the same obsessions as me :naak:. I’m overjoyed. I love u all :flower2:

Re: Is it wrong

SO my friend’s been visiting from the home country. The poor thing is extremely excited to see my phone and laptop. She wants to check her emails. What do I do? I tell her to use the PC as my lappy has very complex touch pad controls. So she’s like, are you sure…“I’d like to try it.” So I said, oh no, use our awesome PC, it’s cutting edge. You’ll love it!

Then my husband’s friend,, whenever he comes over, he wants to carry my Air to feel the weight . Then he touches the keys and touch pad. You have no idea how many deaths I die during those few seconds.
