I’ve heard some people say that ‘Namaz jagah badal badal k parhni chahiyeh kyunki woh zameen ka hissa hamara gawah bann jata hai aur akhrat mein maghfirat ka zarea bann jayega.’ How true is that?

YES...log aam taur se farz namaaz ke ba'd sunnat ke liye jaanamaaz 1-2 inch sarkaa lete haiN...aur masjidoN meN log 1-2 line aage peechhe ho kar paRte haiN...aur, ghar ke kisii Hisse ko namaaz ke liye muKhtas kar lenaa durust nahiiN...ghar ke har kamre meN namaaz paRhnaa afzal hai.

Never heard nor read in any hadith, except I heard that after offering 'farz' namaaz in Masjid, it is good to read 'sunnat and nafal namaaz' in home.

As per my knowledge Nabi s.a.w. Always farz ke bad sunnat ghar mein ada karte to Ulema kehte hain agar aap ghar mein ada nahi kar sakte to jaga badal kar ada karo.
Aap ne jo sunna woh bhi theek hai.

i thnk i understood what u said. i heard that too, and thats what i do sometimes, mostly at the masjid. true or not, might was well try it. there is no harm, but only potential benefit.

There is no harm in doing it but that gives a cult like feeling to me when I hear these kinds of things.

When i was 15 years old and use to offer namaz in Masjid after the farz people use to move to other place and offer the sunnats i use to be curious that why they do it

then someone told me that jis jagah pe ap namaz perhatay hon woh jagah apki gawah ban jayegi akhrat ke roz

Why can't same jagah become witness for all the namazain ? What will stop it from doing so ? If it can see you offering farz namaz , it can see you offering sunnat too. If you keep on going to same masjid you will end up praying farz namaz on the same spot for many times in your life. The guy in our masjid who says azan for jummm , sits and offer his namz at the same spot for many many years now. Will his namz not be counted or miscounted. What about imam he is standing for farz namaz every day 5 times a day on the same spot , his namaz will not be counted for all those times , will it be counted for one time only ?

The main reason why people move away to a different spot to perform sunnat after jamaat in masjid, is to break the line formation which is required only for Ba' Jamaat namaz. That has nothing to do with Zameen kee gawahi.
