I find MAC to be a mid-grade brand. Certainly, not a “high end” or superior quality product. I thought Pak salons like Allenora and the like used TV paint for their bases, which is not superior, but accomplishes that flawless face look they typically go for. In my experience, MAC foundations do not last and oxidize within a few hours. Your thoughts?

really? i really like mac products personally... i bought their eye shadows and lipstick for my mehendi and wedding makeup. my base was the cream stick thing that makeup artists use, and the eye shadows or lipstick did not budge or fade at all throughout the night. i also use mac's blush and powder on a daily basis and they're pretty damn good too.
what is superior quality to you? what kind of stuff do you wear on a daily basis? i need to find a good powder with spf... thats the only thing mac doesn't have.

Shehzad uses Mac...Annie uses mix stuff most of which luks cheap but still she makes every1 luks awesome so yay 2 her.

Hey :) These days I'm really liking Laura Mercier's Powder Foundation, it doesn't have SPF though. Besides that, try Giorgio Armani's Silk Luminous foundation, it's medium to full coverage, with a natural finish. Although, you should always just wear a SPF under your fdn/powder regardless. The SPF in powders is usually very minimal and lasts a couple hours. I like Neutrogena and Shiseido 55. Oh, I also like Tarte's Agent Provacateur Mineral Powder (which does have spf). You're right, I don't mind the MAC eyeshadows, especially the pigments, which have good color payoff. The pigments are a lot of fun :)

their eyeshadow base is also phenomenal for when you're doing your own makeup and need it to last.

I use the prescriptives foundation. I like it a lot. As far as Mac I am not a fan of their foundations but I do like their eyeshadows a lot.

In Pakistan majority of the artists use Pancake Sticks also called tv sticks cally crylon and the shades vary from 21-56. Ather Shahzad uses MAC and so does Depilex (Dubai) if u want lasting makeup..always use a primer and a finishing spray =)

I'm not too fond of MAC products - i tend to still keep a range of their products incase a client insists on using the MAC brands, as nowadays clients do like to have a say on what products are used on them and at the end of the day we are here to make the client feel good and provide a good service - ive noticed the colour range of eyeshadows by MAC is like wow! however the staying power is not all dat... i much prefer Christian Dior, Prescriptives, Stila, Urban Decay and Versace.

No they dont .they use some local brands .maybe a few of them use Mac but mostly they perfer local brands.

actually no parlour use mac products as they could b xpensive for then so i thnk if someone has heard then it must b rumour.the parlours in pak use krylon's tv paint stick n it is possible dat mayb any insider mst b know abut athar shezad as above mentioned,who use MAC products.2nly i agree dat mac product's fame is very hot now adys otherwise many other renowed companies like clinique ,chanel hv very nice products.it all depend on ones satisfaction.

^ Not true..s ome parlors actually DO use Mac makeup. New Look is just one...im sure theres many high end parlors that do. Lesser known, inexpensive parlours will of course use lesser known/inexpensive makeup as well.

dnt knw y girls r so obssesd wid MAC..i personally dnt prefer mac...as it always give a heavy luk..specially mac foundation and bases r quite thick...
there r sum other gud brands too like MF elizabeth arden....bourjois.....mac is jst sum expensive crap
