We have some customs that are similar to jewish traditions too.

In particular one example that always comes to mind is our tradition of ‘palaang’ at weddings. It’s remarkably similar to the tradtion at jewish weddings where the newlyweds are carried on chairs at the reception afterwards.

never heard of it, maybe in your part of the land, the greeks also do that. there is also the tradition of breaking glass, jews do it so do we. but so do some christians.
