I just give all my old clothes to my MIL's maids in Pakistan when I visit every year.... even my jahez and Barri stuff I gave away, since they didn't fit me anymore.... if your family doesn't like the idea of selling them, just give them away to those who are less fortunate than you, maybe even donate to Goodwill.

Once something is given to you its yours. Its your discretion what you do and/or do not want to them with them. I say sell them and make some $. If you feel bad for selling them then throw them in a box and send them to pakistan if you have family there they can donate it to someone who is actually in a need for them. Not only will you got rid of your clothes you will get some brownie points from God!

Oh just sell them. I have so many clothes/shoes. Once i was away, my dad threw them alllll away. sniff sniff. Some i never even got to wear............... :( Nevermind.
I used to think selling stuff was petty and cheap too. However, I think time are a-changing. It is you stuff and fasool wasteage is a bigger crime. I think I would rather be considered petty than an idiot.
But why?
See I could think of it being cheap and petty IF you were trying to sell things that were obviously outdated or ugly or very visibly worn and very used...and that too charging an arm and a leg for it....but for things that have never been used, it shouldn't be a big deal i think.

I just donated 20 brand new outfits of mine because I thought people would laugh at me for selling them…these were gifts over the years or stuff that didn’t fit me right to begin with. Now I wish I had sold them. I could have made some serious $$
