Is it really necessary?

Is it absolutely necessary for us to read Quran in Arabic, like reading namaz? Is it farz to read it in Arabic?

Re: Is it really necessary?

Sara: reading Quran in Arabic gives you reward for each words according to ahaadeeth; However, it is recommended that One should read it with translation to understand it too and hence getting more reward.

But there are saheeh ahaadeeth that tell us that there is even reward for the arabic quran even if it is recited without concentrating on the meanings.

Re: Is it really necessary?

Reading the Qur'an in Arabic lets you get the blessings from it.
Reading the Qur'an with translation lets you get guidance from it.

Re: Is it really necessary?

I have a different point of view. I agree that if you read Quran in Arabic you will get blessings on each word. But if you read it with understanding, with translation and act upon the orders, you will become a perfect human being and Allah will reward you the best.

I also read Holy Quran with translation, even if I read the same Surah for many times, I cant read it without reading it's translation. May Allah guide you and you may read the translation too.

Another benefit for reading the Arabic is that, there might be some mistakes in translations. So you can understand the real meanings by the original Arabic word. You can ask a scholar the different meanings of the same word.

I hope this will help you.
