I have few questions regarding my brother’s wedding. We have been in America for quite long and don’t know much about how long does it take to get things ready in Karachi Pakistan.
We are planing to go 4 weeks in advance for my brother’s marriage in shaa Allah.

Can we make Bari in 4 weeks??

yes, if you buy some outfits pre-made. Rest custom made by a known/trusted darzi. Mine was done in 3-wks in lahore.

Can bridal dresses (for Mehndi baraat & valima) be made in 4 weeks??

donno about all three … but at least one can be custom made if the work is not toooo elaborate/ott. Rest, you can buy premade and just customized for size. … my wedding dress was custom made/embroidered in 15 days flat. However, it was not super elaborate/heavily worked.

Can bridal jewelry be made in 4 weeks??

Nope. You can buy a pick out a pre-made style though in one day and have the colored beads/stones changed.

Can the grooms dresses and shairwani be made with in 2 weeks. Cuz groom cannot go 4 weeks in advance.

**yes! my husband had his sherwani made 2weeks before and only tried it on the day before. You have to have the measurements done very precisely and have a good darzi/tailor thats willing to work within our timeline. **

Can the siblings / family dresses be made in 4 weeks??

Yes. My family members that were traveling with me had their clothes custom made in that 3 wk time line.**

We are going to have other things like venue, photographer , event managers and catering booking in advance.

Please help answer these questions as I’m totally confused and cannot go before 4 weeks …

Couple of notes.
All the shopping is possible in 4 weeks but know that you will be spending a heck of a lot more as there is no time for bargain hunting and you will be paying all vendors higher fees to get your stuff sewn/done within your deadline.
you will have no … and i mean NO downtime. you will have to hit the stores right away and all day and every day. its exhausting.

I’d recommend what proto and others have said. try to order/manage as much as you can ahead of time. Its doable in this age of internet and phone calls. Go only to reputable vendors.
