Is it possible to NOT be like your parent(s)?

As you’re growing older, do you see some of the negative qualities from your parents in you? What if one of your parent was shrewd, powerful, logical, convincing, etc. to the point where he/ she walked over people to get what he/she wanted. What if one of your parent was shy, way too innocent for this world and to achieve anything.

Those are just examples, but is there anything you have picked up from your parents which you never wanted too, but now you’re seeing it in your personality or others are telling you, “you’re just like your father.”

Is there really a way to NOT be like your parents?

there are ways not to be like your parents

if there is some way you dont want to be, you would have to work against it. ever if they are inherited subconscious traits

but you have work on yourself about it

Half the solution lies in recognizing what are "bad" qualities, or qualities that you dont' desire to have...and working on those.

It's nto exactly a dilemma but its not very simple either. T me this question is similar to....would I raise my kids the same way...and there's never one easy answer for that....
