Is it permissible to perform Fajr prayers after the sun has risen?

Sometimes it happens to me that i accidently switch alarm off & when my eyes open, the sun has already risen & i end up not praying Fajr prayer & it makes me feel bad :(. So, i was just wondering, if it happens so, then is it permissible to perform Fajr prayers after the sun has risen?

Re: Is it permissible to perform Fajr prayers after the sun has risen?

Yes It is Permissable to do so. Only difference is the Niyat you do is that you do niyat to perform fajr 'kazaa'

May Allah Give us the strength to perform Salah 5 times daily. Aameen.

Re: Is it permissible to perform Fajr prayers after the sun has risen?

It is not permissible to pray after Fajr.

Re: Is it permissible to perform Fajr prayers after the sun has risen?

YES, actually ALL four rak'ats are DUE on you and it must be offered after the sun is up [say 15 minutes after the sunrise]...niyat can/may be said in your heart. you do NOT have to say it using your tongue. it's better to say it using your tongue. the qazaa fajr can be offered preferably up and until zohr time.

Really!? I seriously never knew this! That’s why i usually chose not to offer Fajr even when the sun had just risen :bummer:

Peace All

As a general reminder … “Namaz ki koi chooth nahein hai” … except where a woman is on her menses … a man has no such thing. Namaz must be prayed if missed. It is not permissible to miss to prayer on its allocated time, but if it happens then it must be made up.

The made-up or (kaza) prayer does not ever equal the missed prayer in worth … :bummer:

Except where kaza is required - e.g. Maghrib on night of muzdalifah for Hajis only.
