We have to give credit to this guy. He doesn’t know how to talk on camera. However he has some guts, some persuasive power, and some leadership. Looks like he is among the few leaders who are trying to keep the political temperature low.

Off course Lal masjid proves that “Statesman” shujaat can’t convince a suicidal maniac like Gazi. However for “normal” (if can ever call them so) politicians, he can dial up the phone and talk.

I mean look at the CJ incident. Shujaat made sure CJ doesn’t get any restrictions in Punjab. I wish MQM had shown the same generosity.

Now the CJ saga is almost over, Statesman Shujaat is persuading the CJ in his Oh so humble manner.

Got to give Ch. Shujaat credit. He has drawbacks in some areas but he seem to have very good political insights and relations with a wide spectrum of people - politicians, mullahs and the judges. If he didn't I guess he wouldn't have survived in politics so long?

Shujaat is an old style pak politco, a classic survivor like Sheikh Rashid: with very little charisma but who through lots of money earned via crony capitalism, biradri and family relationships has kept going..despite his strong MMA leanings he is equally at home with Baloch and pashtun nationalists and has even helped out BB at one stage..(despite a family enmity going back almost 40 years)

One of the most corrupt politician in the history of Pakistan. No wonder Pakistan is in the state it is today when we have a third rate mentally bankrupt politician supporting the power hungry dictator.

Its become a joke in Pakistan that people pray for their enemies, "Allah karey Shujaat terey naal muzaakraat karey".

Mush and Shujaat play like the good cop, bad cop scenario, Mush threats and Shujaat offers candy.

But i do feel that Shujaat is a gentleman who tried his best to get Zill-e-Subhani out of trouble many times, but Zill-e-Subhani won't listen.
