Re: is it okay to tell
I once had a clinical instructor who was very intimidating. Every time she would be around I felt like I was so nervous in talking to and treating my patients. I felt like if it stays this way, my patients wouldnt trust me so I went up to her and asked her if it's ok for her to give me some time alone with my patients to build rapport before she comes into the room (this is like initial days of my practice..)..sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Re: is it okay to tell
Unless the boss is doing something inappropriate - being aggressive on tone, deliberately dismissive, belittling, or even worse forms of ill-treatment, best is to ask yourself why am I so afraid of this guy. You may be weak in his/her subject. If so, put extra effort. In other words, find out what you can do to contol your unease. Facing your fear head-on always is best route - it truly does make you stronger. (No pain, no gain as the tired but well tested cliche goes).
But if he is doing some of the inappropriate things mentioned here, you should go to your assigned mentor and let that person know the situation.
If all else fails, you havemy permission to beat up on CM (and I will throw in Nomica for no extra fee).
Re: is it okay to tell
hahahaha. buri baat.
nah, itโs nothin inappropriate or anything. i have a lot of admiration for the person and get tongue-tied and lose my senses, lol. and then what happens is i donโt convey the stuff i need to convey coherently. so i guess i need to slow down, think things out and speak.

^ I think you have arrived at the correct approach :)
