Lol nothing wrong with debate.

What you’re speaking about is more of a liberal vs conservative issue, whereas I’m talking about a bias that is present across the spectrum. And by definition, feminism is concerned with women. I find it ironic that some feminists seem to hate men, especially since women’s rights could not have succeeded without men.

By the way, some people take it further than what I’m saying, and actually think that men in the West are finished. Intelligence Squared Debates had an interesting topic, asking whether or not men are finished. Most people in the audience agreed that men are indeed finished. I disagree but it’s an interesting debate. It’s almost 2 hours long though.

It is amazing Ee are even having this discussion. As I type Rachel Marrows guest Nancy Northrup president of national reproductive rights States Mississippi South Dakota and North Dakota have or will sol. Succeed in shutting down abortion. By passing several laws that make it nearly impossible.

As stated earlier Kansas has already done so. And New Mexico is trying to pass a bill that outlaws abortion in the case of rape! Tampering with evidence it seems. It is not just the clay aikens we have to worry about.

So yes there is a need for feminists who are also humanists.

Watching Lawrence O'Donnell. Some women marines described the sexual violence they experienced. Their boss telling them that women marines are meant to be f. One lady talking abt being raped by a married man. But she was accused of adultery.

I still think the Pak women's cricket team have no chance against Shanta Rangaswamy and Diana Edulji. On that even Ghost & S and S would concur.

First of all, a humanist encompasses rights for both sexist. Why should anyone need to declare themselves a feminist unless you believe women deserve special attention?

Secondly, Southie uncle, the difference between the issues you’ve raised and the ones I’m going to post is that yours will receive coverage and will likely be defeated while the ones I’m going to list happen all the time. Furthermore, abortion is an issue that is being blocked in those states by **both men and women. **In other states, the majority of people, both men and women, believe that abortion should be left up to the woman.

Explain to me why breast cancer receives more government funding than prostate cancer, when the latter is deadlier. Why does this guy have to pay alimony to two lesbians when he gave up his parental rights as a sperm donor? Should this man be on the hook for alimony when DNA testing proved that the child isn’t his? Did you even know that these problems existed? Abortion and Roe v Wade comes up every election cycle and the military is hardly the most progressive of places.

The bottom line is that nowadays, lingering issues exist for both sexes and economic and education reports indicate that more women are entering college**, **and women are increasingly becoming the decision makers for their households. On the other hand, men die earlier, dominate professions at the lower end of the pay scale (notice how the glass ceiling makes headlines but this doesn’t), die more from work related injuries, die earlier in general, and worst of all, none of these issues are even talked about.

If you were to tell me that work needs to be done for both sexes, I would agree with you. But that requires acknowledging that one sex is not the victim, doesn’t deserve its own field of study in universities, and doesn’t require an obsolete social movement geared toward promoting its issues at the expense of the other. In short, be a humanist who cares about both men and women, as opposed to a feminist who only cares about one.

p.s once again, if you’re a humanist then calling yourself a feminist is redundant and once again, elevates women’s issues over men’s.

You make a lot of valid points. While breasted cancer may get more funding than prostate, could it be because the latter is relatively new?

Men may be at loser end of pay. But I think secretaries and janitors don't make much either. Today Jefferies CEO a man made headlines with abt 40M dollar pay.

I agree women now enter college at greater rates. In Engg men still hold the lead I think.
