[Observing Saum (fasts)] for a fixed number of days, but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the same number (should be made up) from other days. And as for those who can fast with difficulty, (e.g. an old man, etc.), they have (a choice either to fast or) to feed a Miskîn (poor person) (for every day). But whoever does good of his own accord, it is better for him. And that you fast, it is better for you if only you know.
[2:184] Surah al Baqarah, verse 184

so yes it's okay, as long as you make the days up afterwards.

Its not OK.. As Quran says "Observing Saum (fasts)] for a fixed number of days, but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the same number (should be made up) from other days."

The second part of the verse which says that people who find it difficult should try to fast only applies to the categories other than the invalids and travellers.

Well There are 2 or more reason tht u can keep fast during travel.
1-If you are some kind of Vehicle driver (truck driver, van driver etc) or Pilot of plane. or you are frequent traveller due to any reason.
2- If you are going to some place for more then 10 days. then the prayers are no more Kasr and fast is valid.
