Is drinking allowed in Hinduism for women to drink in public?
Muslims smoke in large numbers, both men and women, though for women, its considered a bit brash to do so, not only in public, but also in private. Hence you wont find many.
Sames the case with drinking for hindus, where you will find lots of drinkers, male and female, yet while you will see an amitabh or some other goon drinking on indian media shows, you wont find heroines doing the same, even though they may do it behind the scenes.
Now perhaps you will realize why you thought this thread to be so stupid yourself that you half expected the moderator to close it.
Andhra, as I mentioned to you in the other thread. Maleeha is not smoking now....she was smokin' when she was younger....age has definitely not been good for her.

Every religion has a set of guidelines for its followers. Every religion tells its followers what to do regarding different things. Its a different issue that you choose to ignore them.
pancagavya: milk, yogurt, butter, and the urine & excrement of a cow (the five cow-products meant for consumption in Hindu rituals).
The following is a very important Ayurvedic treatment including cow urine & liquid cow dung to purify Hindus who have drunk alcohol:
** “A twice-born man so deluded that he has drunk liquor should drink boiling-hot liquor, and when his body has been scalded by it he is freed from that offence. Or he may drink boiling-hot cow’s urine, water, milk, clarified butter, or liquid cow dung until he dies.” ** – Manusmrti 11:91-92.
Hungry for some more pancagavya? Here it is:
“For stealing raw or cooked food, a carriage, bed, or seat, flowers, roots, or fruits, the cleansing is swallowing the five cow-products (pancagavya).” – Manusmrti 11:166.
Like many regulations in Manusmrti, a similar one is also found in Visnusmrti:
“(For stealing) sweetmeats, (rice or other) food, (milk or other) drinks, a bed, a seat, flowers, roots, or fruit, drinking pancagavya (is ordained as penance). (For stealing) grass, firewood, trees, rice in the husk, sugar, clothes, skins, or flesh, the thief must fast for three days.” – Visnusmrti 52:8-9.
By the way don’t quote Manu too much. The so-called ‘Backward’ Caste people get offended by his very name.
Not all his teachings are accepted. For example he was the one who said ‘Women Do NOt Deserve Freedom!!!’.
Ibrahim says any brahmin not following manu cannot be a brahmin but sudras are allowed to follw only the BG, so i guess you must be a sudra
For in hinduism
Classical Hinduism has three distinct strands, or paths. ** These paths are pursued during a succession of lives with a general goal for the individual to be released from their karmic existence.** The three paths are named Karmamarga (the Way of Action), Jnanamarga (the Way of Knowledge) and Bhaktimarga (the Way of Devotion). Each Path, or Way, has a major book associated with it.
Karmamarga- The ** Manavadharmasastra, or the Laws of Manu,** written between 200 BCE and 200 CE. The Laws of Manu are based on earlier Vedic and Hindu books, generally referred to as the Sutras, of which ** Manu's is the most important.** The Sutras date back to about 600 BCE. The Laws of Manu lay out the Hindu caste system, describe the stages of life, and the rounds of life.
Jnanamarga - The Upanishads developed between 600 BCE and 200 BCE. The Upanishads lay out the secrete, esoteric knowledge of Hinduism.
Bhaktimarga - The Bhagavadgita ( BG)is mostly concerned with tendencies within Hinduism toward monotheism. It was written about 200 BCE.
Ibrahim, better concentrate on your religion and leave ours.
Hinduism has four paths and not three : Karma, Jnan, Bhakti and Raj.
BTW, heard you were on an expedition to dig out the original Arabic version of the Vedas from the desert sands and prove our Islamic roots. Any success on that ground?
P.S. Your interpretation of our paths and focus on Manu Samhita is simply rubbish.

Ibrahim says: LOL! Yes!! ** Do-it-Yourself** DIY Hinduism practiced by people like you today, can have many paths but classical Hinduism only had three paths.
Now stop the nonsense and see if you can answer the questions you ran away from in the past after making a mockery of yourself, just like andhra in the past.
Ibrahim says any brahmin not following manu cannot be a brahmin but sudras are allowed to follw only the BG, so i guess you must be a sudra<<
Awesome!! Ibrahim you know who you are talking with?
My roots strectch all the way back to the coming of Aryans to India!!
If this interests you think about it. I belong to people who never surrendered their religion and bowed to the conqueror!!
So be careful before who you say is not a Brahmin!!
As for Manu, Yes I reject his teachings and I am a Brahmin!!
Infact if there is one thing Hindus of all Castes and regions and sex agree upon, it is that Manu is outdated.
andhra i understand why you dont want to follow manu
An initiated Brahmana should beg, beginning (his request with the word) lady (bhavati); a Kshatriya, placing (the word) lady in the middle, but a Vaisya, placing it at the end (of the formula).
Let him first beg food of his mother, or of his sister, or of his own maternal aunt, or of (some other) female who will not disgrace him (by a refusal).

Well, that actually doesn’t mean Brahmins should go around beggging!!
What it is, is you life is divided into 4 parts. Upto around 25 is the first part when you are a student and depend on the society for your food(A student is supposed to live with his Guru, away from Home)
After that marriage et.,
It is reduced to a symbolic tradition now, when you go through a ceremonial begging upon the ‘Sacred Thread’ ceremony.
I went through it myself!!
Ofcourse I took alms from Only Brahmins
Infact ‘Sacred Thread’ is not confined to Brahmins. Many other Castes follow it.
An initiated Brahmana should beg, beginning (his request with the word) lady (bhavati); a Kshatriya, placing (the word) lady in the middle, but a Vaisya, placing it at the end (of the formula). <<
Do you mean the Sanskrit words,
‘Bhavati Bhiksham Dehi’ should be used to in different order by each Caste? That is loony!!
Any way as I explained all these things are reduced to symbols and ceremonies in Hinduism, which is good.
That’s the reason why there is no conflict between Religion and Politics in Hinduism, whatever Shiv Sena may want!!!
I can trash Manu Samhita, or Gita or whatever, and still call myself a Hindu. Hindus don’t have to be rigidly bound by a book.
Hindus are not bound by a book. It evolves with time as humans evolve. That is why Andhra doesn’t have to beg for his food, nor worry if his wife is allowed to drink in his religion.
That is what he means, when he says, his religion doesn’t give him any such regulations (including locking up his women
There is NO one book that can be classified as the ultimate compilation for Hindus to follow - unlike Quran for Muslims which openly states women are inferior to men.
Otoh, can there be a muslim who doesn’t care for Quran?
Ibrahim says: be man enough to tell that to the pujari in India and see if your bones remains in its place or you vanish period since “Kali” is always anxious for its Friday human blood and body parts offerings
Ibrahim says: fools can do anything they like but the sensible know their boundaries according to their faith
Ibrahim says: that is because you don not know what your religion teaches and neither can he be considered a Brahmin , In my perspective all of you are shudra’s , as per your understanding of Hinduism.
so read what Brahmins have been instructed to do by their ancestors NOT by GOD!
** “Men must make their women dependent day and night, and keep under their own control those who are attached to sensory objects.** Her father guards her in childhood, her husband guards her in youth, and her sons guard her in old age. ** A woman is not fit for independence.”** – Manusmrti 9:2-4.
** “Women are powerless, have no inheritance, and speak more humbly than even a bad man.”** – Krsna Yajur Veda Taittiriya Samhita 6:5:8:2.
"Lord Indra himself has said, ** ‘The mind of woman cannot be disciplined; she has very little intelligence.’ "** – Rig Veda 8:33:17.
** “A discarded wife is one who has no son. … For a wife that is without a son, is possessed with Nirriti (destruction, calamity).”** – Satapatha Brahmana 5:3:1:13.
“A damsel whose menses begin to appear (while she is living) at her father’s house, before she has been betrothed to a man,** has to be considered as a degraded woman: by taking her (without the consent of her kinsmen) a man commits no wrong.”** – Visnusmrti 24:41.
So GROW UP when your brains gets mature enough to comprehend the TRUTH.
Regards
Ibrahim
