Is it normal ?

Ok, so here’s my story, I got nikahfied a couple of months ago. It was an arranged thing, I didn’t know the girl, but my family knew her. Khair so after the nikah, we met maybe once or twice and the extent of our interaction was me kissing her hand :=).

Khair, I had to come abroad for a couple of months and its been 3 months. We talk regularly on phone and I still have about 4-5 months before I can finally go back. The thing which has been bothering me that I miss her ALOT. I know it is cliché but I think it is seriously affecting my concentration. Everytime I lie down to sleep, or I am resting i.e. not busy in some work etc I al ALWAYS thinking about her. Looking at other couples makes me feel sad.

If I am with friends its alright, but if I am alone, I am always thinking about her. The yearning is so strong that it physically aches. I don’t know what to do. I guess this has probably something to do with my not being involved in the proper sense with any girl before. Don’t get me wrong, I have worked/studied alongsides some really cool girls and I did like one or two. But this thing is really different. Its literally like her face is there everytime I close my eyes.

Is this normal ? or am I being over-sensitive ? Any tips of how to cope with this ?

How dare you broke the unwritten, unspoken BUT clearly understood code of brotherhood, “You NEVER admit those feelings to anyone, especially women”.

Now damn you to the immigration offices! I hope they double the normal waiting time for visa approval of your spouse. That will teach you a lesson!
