hey all
i have always been a fan of short shirt and patialas but for the first time have made long shirts…really long…i am 5’5’’ and the shirt length is 43 apx 3 inch below knees…and i feel i am looking really funny…did this happen with u
i am kinda disappointed i ruined my suits
do u think long shirts dont look gud on long people ?
Re: is it just me or its common..
ohhh who said so i was too vey found of short shirts but no ways ur height is perfect and at ur height one should wear 45-46 ur afraid of 43
just wear it with full confidence lady:)its just the fashion as i said i will never make the long one and for now oh my GOD i don know how muchi had made uptill now…![]()
Re: is it just me or its common..
that's how i felt at first, trust me once you get used to it you'll think shorts shirts were so weird. long shirts look good on everyone so it has nothing to do with you, it's just that you're still getting used to it.
Re: is it just me or its common..
:( I don't like long shirts as I am quite petite and I feel they make me look smaller. I haven't had any made yet but I guess I will when I go to Pak this year.
what do u think is the appropriate length? should it be below knees? i feel like its a frock with trouser...or should i cut it down till ma knees? what do u say?
Re: is it just me or its common..
yeah same thing happend with me. im 5'4 and i also had a suit stitched with the same length kameez as urs and honestly i felt weird when i wore it. it felt like i was wearing my mums kameez lol. im also slim and the kameez just swamped me and made me look kinda lost in it. i prefer wearing a shorter length.
Re: is it just me or its common..
hey its the same with me too.i actually dont ike long shirts but my mom likes them,so i have got got a few of them. but when i wear them i feel like as if i am wearing someone else clothes.
i love patiala shalwars and short shirts, but unfortunetly my tailer didnt know how to make them :(
Re: is it just me or its common..
Its all about getting used. This length is fine for u. Ur trouser should be a loose one and u will look trendy
I had the same problem when I got some short kameez made in Pakistan. It made me look box shaped. My aunt got me made some and they were awesome. I think its important to have a good tailor who can make different style suits. Everyone can make plain shalwar kameez but not everyone can make good patialas and anarkalis.
Fitting seemed good but overall there was something funny/wrong about my short kameez. Darzi just didn't cut it good.
