from quite sum time this question popped up in ma mind that in this era, every thisg is too expensive, prices are reaching at their hieghest height day by day, specially Gold. day b4 yesterday i saw in news it raised at 31,000 per 10 grams (1tola) :S
I kno some people manage to buy gold bangles n jewelry set for their beloved daughter’s marriage, before hand just for saving n avoiding suden burden

but what about those families who cannot afford to arrange gold jewelry for their daughter’s marriage. not only before hand, but even wen the wedding come right around the corner. every parents wants their daughters to give financial securities, but what abt the normal middle calss families???
is it appropriate for them to go for the artificial or gold plated ones? what if that will become an issue for girl after wedding, if inlaws or hubby came to kno abt the artificial jewelry???
if you’re going to do it, then own it. don’t skulk around and lie about it- so if you’re going to get silver plated with gold stuff, tell people if they ask! and do it proudly and confidently. nothing to hide, nothing to lose.
and frankly, maybe rethink marrying into a family that won’t let you live in peace because you came with less than pure gold tucked into your purse.
exactly, dont lie about it…artificial jewelery, no matter how expensive it maybe, cannot be passed as real. So when you are buying it, let everyone know its not gold. By lying you will jeopardize your integrity as a person. * jewelery and clothes are not worth losing one’s integrity over*
I know cases of women who were able to afford gold jewlery who opted for artificial instead because they didn't want to waste their and preferred artificial accessories, I had thought it was a new fashion trend to shun the gold...I've seen so many new brides from upper class families swear by artificial. I think they think its easier to accessorize and gives them the younger look?
I think the artificial is in now.. i mean my cousins n everyone i know who got married recently has gotten beautiful artificial sets to go with their lehngas. I am also going for artificial or gold plated..dont know yet. but im sure that i will NOT be spending tons of cash on real gold jewelery, id rather use that money for my venue and decorations n stuff like that.
Chanda...maybe...they "lie" about it and thus "ruin their own integrity", b/c the people around them consider artificial or costume jewelery beneath them? idk. :@:
