Is it fair guys?

Just saw on bobwoolmer.com the following question and answer.

I strongly feel this behaviour is highly indecent. What you guys think? By the way, this guy may be Miandad himself

Re: Is it fair guys?

^^ well you just bashed the poor guy when Pakistan lost 4 ODI's on the trot and you make it look funny, maybe his ideas are not getting through, lack of communication, whatever but this is a discipline side, the young guns who are drafted they know that they are in the team on their performance soley. if you would have asked him about the opening pair problem one would have warrent you are right but what you said above is simply bashing nothing else, and fielding of pakistan has improved, I know it was pathetic in the ODI's but hey dont forget this is Pakistani team :D

Re: Is it fair guys?

no if it was miadad he would be threating with a danda

Re: Is it fair guys?

Chappel/Woolmer, I am sure, have realized that every 3rd person in India/Pak has an opinion on how their team should play. Its really a waste of time for them to respond to every suggestion and criticism.

Re: Is it fair guys?

Taking it to the extreme, to say the least. Even if there is a strong need to criticize, an individual should present his/her viewpoints in a presentable manner, and not offend the opposing party.

On another note, there is a section dedicated in Woolmer's website on Coaching Tips and Bowling Run-ups, and there is some pretty stack of information hidden in there. Overall, a very decent and professional look to the website, I'd say.

Re: Is it fair guys?

haha thats pathetic...this guy really needs to get a life. btw: nice reply by bob.

Re: Is it fair guys?

Either Miandad, Imran or Aamir Sohail. One of these three. :p

Re: Is it fair guys?

good one bob :k:

Re: Is it fair guys?

There are probably 4 types of cricket fans in Pakistan and thus each represent 1/4 of the total number of cricket fans:
1: 1/4 always hate Woolmer, at any given time during a year regardless of his performance as a coach, just because he has the Gori Chamri.
2: 1/4 of the fans always want to see Pakistan victorious in every single match against every side.
3: 1/4 can accept their side losing against any team but not India.
4: The last 1/4 appears to be a comparatively sane group, which accepts the fact (before the series) that Pakistan can lose a game against India, but after losing, more than half of them join type 3 fans.
So Dhobi_Bhai the bottomline is that more than 90% of the fans, after a Pakistan defeat against India, will have similar views like the idiot at bobwoolmer.com had.

Re: Is it fair guys?

That the question actually got posted on Bobwoolmer.com tells you more about Bob than the answer.

Re: Is it fair guys?

:)

I'd reckon your last point makes the most sense amongst the four mentioned. Quite a number of members we have in Cricketnama possess very similar behaviors and body languages, which not only affects their writing styles in a positive manner whilst composing their posts, but also their conduct and comportment by which they act upon during any such time!

Re: Is it fair guys?

although i dislike bob,gud reply bob :k:

Re: Is it fair guys?

Hey Guppies,
I think it was very kind of Bob Woolmer to answer the idiot in a neat and nice manner. The question seems to pinpoint Bob's coaching while forgetting that he has turned our Pak team around in 2 years.

I would totally bash the questioner on the way he is putting his questions to an excellent coach as Bob Woolmer. I think Bob Woolmer replied very politely and it tells us about his temper. Also, the guy bashed Woolmer on his strategies. Probably, he forgot that these strategies were working perfectly well during the last year or so and it can happen in Cricket any given day, that things go against your will.

I agree with Fkhan2 that 90% of people can accept defeat but not from India. Well, I am not one of those fortunately. Yes, it hurts to get defeated from India but overall, Pak was doing very well until recently and I am very optimistic that under Woolmer and thru Inzi's boyzzz hardwork, they will come back brilliantly.

Fielding on the other hand has seen improvements but we didn't see that during the Pak encounter with India. Once again, it's the job of the players to perform on the field not the coach. I think Bob Woolmer is an asset for Pakistan and I am assured that he is looking for every strategy available to get Pak back on the track and possibly to be in the top 3 favorites for the WC 07.

Aright, see ya guys
