I just recently finished my IT cert path (A, Net, Sec+, ITIL Foundation, Intermediate, CCNA, Scrum Master, CISSP). I know a lot of people have the same training and work background in the US. I am trying to get into IT consulting or starting a coding school but there seems to be a plethora of schools related to consulting, training and education for IT. Would it be wise to look into Pakistan for this type of niche? I know Pakistan has these schools in abundance but what strategy would make me stand out from the competition? The fact I am US educated? I was thinking of starting something in the Asia-Pacific region as that is still a thriving market, starting a business is relatively easy and there is not as much competition and demand is still high as these markets, specifically NZ, emerge.
Market validation would be helpful so you can know where you need to invest your time and other resources. Where would someone look to hire a consultant like you? Is it Google business listings, Craigslist or paid ads, etc? You need to find out where you can find potential clients. Sites that allow mass searching of various Craigslists can help, for example SearchTempest.com. Then you can search for gigs with your certifications as keywords.
Niche market!
