How far along are the rishta talks? Is it a more yes or a more no from both parties? How did the two potentials meet? Is it an arranged scenario? If yes, the general rule would be to refrain from saying something so direct. You can express interest of course but perhaps don’t be quite so frank. If it is someone of your choice (love marriage scenario), go for it- I’m sure he would appreciate the insightful comments
